The new Aircode DRS is the third version of the Lapierre aero road model since the model joined the range in 2014.
As well as a brand-new, more streamlined and sleek design, this new high-speed bike plays with the laws of physics and aerodynamic resistance. It is more rigid and more aerodynamic, featuring disc brakes, as well as more comfortable than the previous model. Meeting all of these criteria seemed an impossible task just a short time ago, but Lapierre's knowledge of carbon construction, discussions with Groupama-FDJ racers, CFD analysis and wind tunnel tests have opened a new chapter for this road bike. The new Aircode DRS marks a new phase of aerodynamic performance, comfort and riding sensation. And Arnaud Démare, the 2020 – and triple – champion of France on the Aircode DRS handlebars, is not going to tell you otherwise!
With its Shimano Ultegra R8000 mechanical groupset, the Aircode DRS 6.0 is the ultimate high-performance bike that will carry you to your first successes. Its UD SL carbon frame, combined with Lapierre's brand-new 38 mm LP Road carbon disc wheels weighing just 1520 g, will maximise the transfer of power to move as fast as possible on flat roads and maintain your rhythm on steeper roads. This makes this bike the perfect choice for both road races, short triathlons and maybe even your first Ironman 70.3! We thus opted for a 52-36 mid-compact transmission and a 11-38 cassette. For this model, we also opted for a 38 mm rim profile to ensure versatility, responsiveness when restarting and the ability to take your bike anywhere with no changes. In terms of comfort, the tubeless ready carbon wheels, the tubeless tyres, the LP carbon handlebars and the Prologo Dimension short-nose saddle will make up your mind for you.
