At first glance the Tomir looks like it should be hanging in the middle of a large white room, at the centre of a museum dedicated to modern art. Without doubt, naked, the Tomir is a thing of beauty, which could justifiably be claimed as a sculpture made from 3Al/2.5V Titanium tubing and welds.
But don’t be deceived. Hang bicycle components to this frame and beauty quickly becomes beast. Built off of our XC 29 geometry, the Tomir will deliver explosive acceleration, incredible climbing prowess and nimble handling. Featuring a one-piece, casted chain-stay yoke, razor-thin seat stays and a larger captured axle, the rear end is stiffer and stronger with less rear hub deflection, whilst an 11/8inch to 11/2 inch, tapered head tube aids front end stiffness, strength and steering precision.
BEAUTY. AND A BEAST
At the end of the (cold, wet, muddy) day what matters is how well did you and your bike perform? The Tomir will never let you down and, with its in-built design efficiencies; it may even keep you going. Plus, when you wash it down there’s that special moment when the dirt recedes and you fall in lust with it all over again.

THE PLACE

THE PUIG TOMIR IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST PEAKS IN MALLORCA, REACHING 1,103 METRES ABOVE SEA LEVEL. FROM THE VERY TOP, WHICH CAN ONLY BE REACHED ON FOOT, THERE ARE OUTSTANDING VIEWS OF THE PUERTO POLLENÇA AND PUERTO ALCÚDIA BAYS AND SURROUNDING MOUNTAINS. ALTHOUGH PREDOMINANTLY A MOUNTAIN FOR HIKERS, A LOCAL CYCLING ROUTE OF 20KM HAS BEEN CREATED AND CLASSED AS 'DIFFICULT'.
Starting at the Menut recreation area on the Ma-10 Lluc-Pollensa road, there are some decent ascents and occasionally paths can take you perilously close to its famous precipices and cliffs. There are plenty of opportunities to go‘off-piste’ with some well-ploughed tracks throughout the mountain. If you want to ride challenging downhills, snaking left and right, you’ll find them in some of the wooded areas.
You will also find some more relaxed paths along which, dotted here and there, are the remains of ancient snow houses, where snow was collected and cut to make ice. We like to ride halfway, chain up our bikes and walk to one of the cliff faces to enjoy the views, the ubiquitous aroma of wild chamomile and a picnic. From these vantage points you can spot both vultures soaring on the thermals and falcons occasionally swooping for prey.
