This week we have been fortunate enough to be testing the LOOK 795 Blade, the bike of choice of Team Cofidis.
The bike is equipped with the latest 13 speed wireless super record groupset from Campagnolo and Bora Ultra WTO wheels from the same Italian manufacturer. These are clad with the Corsa Pro tyres which we are already massive fans of and are from our experience the fastest tyres on the market.
The bike itself weighed in at a respectable 7.3kg in the 54cm equivalent we tested (inc pedals, garmin, bottle cages etc).
As for the ride i must say first reaction was it was fast! i owned a bike several years ago which i always say rode 'fast' and this is well up there with it. Getting it up to speed feels easy and it almost wants to assist you to do it. Comfort wasn't an issue though, a lot of the road surfaces i ride on are pretty shitty and rough to say the least but despite the deep section wheels are 80psi in the tyres they still felt super comfortable and all of my fillings were still intact. I can easily imagine it being just as comfortable over consecutive days riding too as it felt that smooth. The paint finish is beautiful and smooth and some of the colours amongst the rest of the range are fantastic.
Out of the saddle it was really responsive and didn't feel like i was fighting to move it side to side when sprinting whether it be uphill or on the flat, some of this might also be thanks to the LOOK aero proprietary bar and stem combo which is a really nice design and compliments the bike perfectly.
All in all if you are LOOKing for an all day comfortable fast feeling bike then this is for you. It is available in several colour options and can be customised to suit your budget and preferences. The Campagnolo groupset is a really nice smooth fast shifting groupset and the Campagnolo brakes have mega power and modulation for a nice soft feel.
